When you have loud neighbours who ignore the quiet hours and disturb your sleep, you can call the Ordnungsamt and file a noise complaint. This is a normal and acceptable way to deal with loud neighbours.

1. Contact the Ordnungsamt

The Ordnungsamt will send a police officers to knock at your neighbours' door, and ask them to be quiet. Usually, one or two calls are enough, even with the worst neighbours.

2. Tell the Hausverwaltung

If the same neighbour always makes noise, complain to your building management (Hausverwaltung). They will usually notify your neighbour, and if the problem persists, they could get kicked out.
